Summary of the Project:
The development of practical tools to promote good governance within Arab Civil Society Organizations in order to more effectively participate in public policies.

Objectives of the Project:
•  Strengthen the capacities of civil society to plan, implement and monitor action-programs related to public policies, ensuring high visibility. Furthermore, to implement two (2) pilot projects whose aim was to:

1 - Develop innovative income generation models in a participatory approach owned by the stakeholders in Jordan .

2 - Develop new approaches to youth policies with regard to participation in public life and to enhance capacities in advocating such a policy in Lebanon .

•  Foster exchange of ideas and experiences, between civil society organizations, both nationally and regionally - local governments and public and private sector bodies;

•  Enhance the institutional and organizational capacities of civil society by focusing on good governance (internal democracy, accountability and transparency) and to advocate a more appropriate legal environment;

•  To promote consultation, coordination, and networking among civil society actors nationally and regionally with their constituencies and with other stakeholders.
